At Ikea there is always something new. And this summer of 2020 is full of news. Among them, and while we wait for the launch of the Ikea 2021 catalog, today we want to highlight you HÖSTPROMENAD. A limited collection that although it will hit stores on August 5, has a lovely fall flavor.
Because HÖSTPROMENAD means “autumn walk” in Swedish, and this is precisely this collection, a tribute to the magic of this time of year and all its celebrations.

Autumn in particular is a time of year that I love for the variety of colors with which nature gives us. Because it is at this time of year when the natural environment changes from its most intense greens to the yellow, ocher and earth tones to welcome a season of gathering and celebration.
And if nature dresses in autumn, we can also do the same with our houses. And that’s a bit of the idea that Ikea has had when launching this Ikea limited collection consisting of 23 pieces of kitchenware, floral ornaments and decorative accessories to bring personality to all corners.

This very autumnal collection presents a strong contrast between ocher, terracotta, gray, mixed with dry leaves or vegetable illustrations, ideal to brighten up our autumn celebrations.
Regarding materials, in this limited collection we can find cotton from sustainable sources in textiles, and earthenware and stoneware in some household items, among others.

Textiles feature modern Scandinavian style patterns have been traced by Hanna Wilcox, a textile designer specialized in printing at the UAL Central Saint Martin’s who has been inspired by the warm autumn colors and the vegetables that are harvested this season.
