Ikea still amazes us with beautiful, timeless and well-priced furniture which allows us to even have a nice and practical wardrobe such as the Gursken wardrobe that it has an unbeatable price.
The Gursken series is one of his latest Ikea launches that promise to be a success and join some series as iconic as those of the Kallax bookstore or the Pax cabinets. This series can be for the bedroom, a bit like Lack furniture for the living room; the kind of (very) democratic furniture with which we can change a room on a tight budget. It is made up of four pieces with straight lines and a beige or off-white finish. The whole set to assemble a full bedroom (bed, bedside table, dresser and closet) can be purchased at a lot at the price of 184 euros.
The 140 x 200 cm bed sells for 89 euros; the table with an open structure for 30 x 39 cm for 15 euros, the 69×67 cm dresser from 30 euros and the wardrobe module for 50 euros.
Advantages of the Gursten wardrobe
The great advantage and what surely justifies the success of these pieces in itself is its price. And is that for 50 euros we can get the body of a closet to hang clothes.
The standard height of a ceiling is 2.40 cm but sometimes, the ceiling has some lower points because it may be slightly attic or that some beam passes over it. In these cases will you be able to place or in which a beam passes and the ceiling is lower?
The fact that this wardrobe is 55 cm deep guarantees that all the hangers, and therefore, all the chests fit comfortably in this wardrobe; albeit at a tight size.
We thank Ikea that it is not white melamine. A tone that, -at least in my past-, I associate with the lowest cost type of furniture from Ikea and other firms. As if beige (the most relaxed color of the season) will make the difference with other series.
With this module there are no excuses for not having a “real” closet in the hall or entrance to leave coats and jackets. Neither is there to ride a closet closed against any bedroom wall. Idea, combine the Gursken wardrobes with one or two dressers from the series in the center and you will not miss space to store clothes.
