In the case of leather, the skins used for these taps come from cattle raised in southern Germany or Austria. Each skin is checked by hand to ensure an impeccable surface. The skin is then reduced to a thickness of one millimeter to cover objects as delicate as the AXOR MyEdition plate. Most of the process is meticulously done by hand, such as plate stitching or engraving of the AXOR logo with a heat seal.

Marble: beautiful thanks to its special veining
“It is absolutely extraordinary to produce pieces of natural stone in such a fine format”says Joshua Walter, master stonecutter. The marble for the AXOR MyEdition plates comes from a quarry in South Tyrol. For the black color, it has chosen to use Lasa marble, recognized worldwide, in addition to black marble of the Basque Country. Calcite marble is very strong and stable. Only pieces with especially beautiful veins are selected; edges and gloss should be adequate.
In order to convert marble into a material that can be used in the bathroom, an impregnation process must be applied. It is then recorded using laser AXOR logo on the marble and it is reviewed with painting by hand. The manufactured marble plate eIt’s a little masterpiece: brilliant, perfect and individual.
Walnut wood: exceptional quality
The walnut wood for the collection plaque comes from forests cultivated with sustainable techniques in the United States and Canada. The tree is felled, the logs are sawn, and then the logs are processed into plates in a specialized production area. Only previously reviewed units with perfect grain are selected. The thin wooden coverings are glued manually and the sheets are cross-glued together so that a stable bond is generated, so that the wood does not deform when it comes into contact with moisture.
The oils applied at the end of the process protect the material and give it a noble aesthetic.
