A few weeks ago, in the heart of the Salamanca district of Madrid, the new showroom docontractMAD. A space shared by 12 complementary brands designed by the interior designer Mar Vera, interior designer at the Welcome Design studio.
The project, located very close to the headquarters of Casa Decor 2020, has several different spaces, maintaining in all of them the stately essence of the building: its moldings, windows and the height of its ceilings, without losing sight of the fact that all the firms participating in the project had to have the same level of prominence and presence.
To achieve this, each of the different corners and rooms of this showroom that opens its doors on Velázquez Street has been treated as if it were an individual project.
He en-suite room spaceAs if it were a luxury hotel, it is one of the first “projects” that we found when entering this showroom.
The geometric forms used on the bathroom wall replicate those used in the rest of the room. The gray and pink tones are the protagonists, thus emulating a contemporary aesthetic.
The space is characterized by the open and integrated bathroom in the bedroom whose main piece is the Collaro freestanding bathtub by Villeroy & Boch on an outdoor platform, also crowned by a large textile lamp, which is undoubtedly the star of the space.
Collaro helps create a timeless atmosphere that encourages us to well-being and relaxation. An elegantly filigree bathtub attracts attention with its separate design edges, which characterize the independent look of the collection.
Elegant and sophisticated also the Memento 2.0 washbasin cabinet by Villeroy & Boch in olive green, which perfectly matches the pink tones used in bedding and wallpaper. A very original touch for a space where you want to dive to relax and disconnect from the terrible news these days, don’t you think?
