During confinement we are doing things that we never thought we could do. Recipe websites such as Directo al Paladar are fired with traffic before all the people who have put their batteries to cook in the purest Master Chef style.
We have the most clean and collected houses than ever. We have even repaired scratches on furniture. And the crafts have also recovered an unusual role in our homes, either to distract us, or so that the little ones do not get bored.
Today, from the German faucet firm Hansgrohe we want to learn step by step how to make homemade colored bathroom pumps. A ideal activity to do with the little ones (since we entertain them while the preparation lasts, and then they can also enjoy them in the bathroom), or to make them ourselves to use them and relax for a while.
Ingredients for making bath bombs:
- 100 gr. coconut oil
- 400 gr. baking soda
- 200 gr. citric acid
- 60 gr. cornstarch
- Food coloring
- Choice of essential oil
Preparation of homemade bath bombs
Crafting these pumps is super easy. The first step will be to put the coconut oil in a pot and melt for about two minutes over low heat.
The next step will be to add the baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch to the pot, mixing everything for approximately 35 minutes.
Next we will have to add the essential oil and food colors to the mixture, and fill the molds with the mixture until a little more than the edge and press well. To finish, you will have to carefully remove the pumps from the mold, and let them solidify overnight.
