House Decor 2020 has begun (at last) in which it is certainly one of the best editions of recent years. For the building itself, a real wonder in the heart of the Salamanca District, but also for the variety of spaces and styles that we have seen in this edition that has the sustainability as a flag
And if yesterday my partner Patricia Gubieda gave us ten reasons to visit yes or yes Casa Decor, today we bring you one of the spaces that we liked the most during the press visit that is already a tradition to do the day before its opening to the public: the interior designer’s space Virginia Gasch
The space, baptized as ‘The Berries Club’, breathes Virginia Gasch on all four sides. Composed of a dressing table, a corridor and a charming bathroom, the space is inspired by art deco and the incorporeal spirit and elegance of the 20s.
The beginning of the 20s of the 20th century, that moment in which modernity began to write its own script, came loaded with news and advances called to Dismantle more than one convention.
In this context the flapper girls, a group of young, funny and carefree women who bet on being themselves wearing short skirts, banishing corsets and other ties, wearing eye-catching makeup and cutting bob hair. That reality, one hundred years later, serves the Vg Living studio as a starting point for create The Berries Club
Several sets of arcs act as a conductive thread creating an enveloping atmosphere of soft and rounded shapes. Among the different elements of space, and framed in the main arch, we read a war cry made of neon: #DISOBEDIENT, a declaration of intent that perfectly summarizes the essence of the project.
In the space stand out unique pieces, such as the incredible washbasin of Jacob Delafon, or Hisbalit floors, in addition to fabrics and wallpapers, among other elements of firms such as Cole & Son, Alhambra or Formica Group.
A space that is a true fantasy and in which it is worth stopping to enjoy the details of the Gasch universe.
