NYX Hotel Milan is a true concentrate of street art and design, an exclusive place embellished by the works of thirteen Italian writers. Figurative art dominates on every single floor, from the entrance to the access to the roof, and wins the attention of the most curious. This is the first hotel of its kind to open in Italy and is part of the brand Leonardo Hotels.
The works of street art, which usually populate the streets of cities all over the world, are now finally concentrated inside a building full of personality and style. The NYX Hotel in Milan is characterized mainly by creations of the EAD Crew, a group of Paduan artists, who in the 90s became very famous thanks to a series of works signed by Joys, Yama11, Orion, made514 and Peeta: their style combines traditional lettering and 3D, for a very high and original impact. Even today EAD Crew is active and, in addition to decorating the streets of Italy, it also works in the streets of New York and Hong Kong.
These artists have signed some of the plans of the NYX Hotel in Milan: Joys has created a severe and clean graphics, played in shades of blue, and, together with Peeta, has embellished the entrance with a red motif that captures the attention. Orion, on the other hand, used similar graphics but more delicate nuances for the sixth floor. Among the works that make this hotel one of the most beautiful and interesting of the moment is that of Neve, who took care of the entrance to the roof, or the walls of the top floor, where the profile of a woman dominates. The other graffiti are the work of illustrators Etnik, Jair Martinez, Moneyless, but also of Corn79, Andrea Casciu, SKAN and the duo Urban Solid: the latter quickly became famous for the provocative style of his street art.
