If you are in France, you are a lover of design and also of good food, drop by Mirazur it is really a must. Directed for 10 years since Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, this year has risen by five positions in the ranking of the best restaurants in the world, from eleventh place to sixth. In addition to the exclusive and tasty dishes, the Mirazur is also known for its sophisticated design. Typical features of the building and stylistic figures of the architect Vittorio Grassi are transparency, brightness and incredible attention to detail.
The venue boasts a position unique, as it is located at the foot of the mountain and overlooking the sea. The view really leaves you breathless and the surrounding vegetation makes it a real gem. The natural light that passes through the room enters through the large, frameless windows that have been enlarged: in this way it is possible to admire the sea and the view of the old town of Menton. The white cantilevered canvas curtains perfectly frame the large views.
All the materials used are simple and natural, chosen to obtain a refined environment but also to respect and perfectly integrate the nature of the landscape. The walls are white, just like the curtains, the floor is in split local stone, the window panes are extra clear and, as regards the furniture, wicker and natural wood have been chosen.
Much attention was also paid to the green space but above all to the plants chosen to give even more liveliness to the design room and to integrate it with the surrounding area. In addition to the lounge bar, the veranda, the restaurant and the terrace, there is also a splendid one garden, located on the ground floor of the building, where there are aromatic plants and edible flowers, which the chef uses for his dishes; here there is no shortage of lemons, oranges, mandarins, grapefruits and there is also a large avocado tree, known to be one of the oldest in the entire Côte d’Azur.
