In Italy there are about one million condominiums and over 70% of these are over 50 years old: they are buildings built before the energy efficiency law that consume more energy than necessary. Just thinking about them (but not only), Eni gas and light has created the service CoatMio, which deals with energy efficiency from a technical, environmental and also financial point of view, to make this type of intervention convenient for the condominium from all points of view.
The CoatMio service, the result of the strong collaboration between Eni gas and light and its specialist partners, is not limited to the thermal insulation of buildings to reduce heat losses and the energy adaptation of condominium thermal plants, but also extends to energy adaptation. of the condominium thermal power stations with the possibility of taking advantage of all the tax advantages provided by the eco-bonus in this case too
CoatMio, in fact, was designed in compliance with the regulations on eco-bonuses and seismabonus, which provide for tax deductions respectively up to 75% and 85% of the amount of the work, with the additional possibility of transferring to third parties – in this case to the operating partner of Eni gas and electricity – their own tax credit, without having to wait the 10 years required by law. In this way the condominium will have to pay only the remaining amount in balance of the expense, also in installments, obtaining a fixed rate loan for the residual amount.
All this without losing sight of the strength of CoatMio: the possibility of living in a more comfortable and efficient condominium, which consumes from 30 to 50% less energy and can thus also increase its asset value.
CoatMio at Fuorisalone 2019
Precisely to present CoatMio, Eni gas and light is back among the protagonists of the Milan Design Week with an area dedicated to energy efficiency and this service within the installation The Circular Garden, created at the Brera Botanical Garden by Eni in collaboration with the design studio Carlo Ratti Associati.
Also on this occasion there was a presentation evening of CoatMio and a series of workshops on the topic of energy efficiency. Furthermore, Eni gas e luce has chosen to contribute to the lighting project of the Arboreto area, which is part of a wider project to enhance the Brera Botanical Garden, an important symbol of the city of Milan.
Call for Innovation “Smart & Efficient Buildings” by Eni gas and light for energy efficiency
The improvement of the energy efficiency of buildings and condominiums is a topic that is very close to Eni gas and electricity’s heart and has demonstrated it by also launching a real challenge for innovation: a Call for Innovation has pushed startups and SMEs to put themselves to the test in the development of products and services capable of making buildings safer, more comfortable, efficient and autonomous.
The Call Smart & Efficient Buildings, created in collaboration with the digital startup incubator Digital Magics, saw the application of over 70 aspiring participants through the portal Open Innovation by Eni gas and light, but only the best 10 projects have been selected to access the final part of the Call or the Innovation Day, which took place last June 26 in Milan. During the event, the participating startups had the opportunity to present their project to a jury made up of the top managers of Eni gas and light and specialist partners of Digital Magics.
Call Smart & Efficient Builidings, the winners
The winning startup, the one that will have access to the one-month co-design phase with Eni gas and light, was U – Earth Biotech, specialized in air purification through equipment called bioreactors which, thanks to non-pathogenic bacteria, They “digest” all contaminants and allergens present in the air, transforming everything into inert material.
The startup Immodrone also stood out, offering a network of over 1,500 ENAC-certified drone pilots. Thanks to high-resolution and thermal cameras and a cloud-based Artificial Intelligence platform, Immodrone is able to collect data and produce reports that help plan energy efficiency improvement interventions.
A second special mention was assigned to Pmi Perry Electric, which presented the C.Dom solution, an always connected system that allows you to program, manage and control the comfort of different domestic environments in relation to the needs of users, reducing consumption thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence.
The Open Innovation platform
Eni gas e luce puts another tool at the service of innovation: the platform Open Innovation, open to research centers, startups, SMEs and large companies that have ideas and want to bring them to the attention of Eni gas and light.
