If there is a space that deserves to be considered very carefully in the house, it is undoubtedly the kitchen. As I have already commented on multiple occasions, the kitchen it is in many homes a place where little is invested to leave it strictly in its aspect. However, the kitchen has become in recent years a meeting place for family and friends. That is why we have seen more and more open kitchens emerge that have become an indisputable trend.
Today we discover a truly attractive project with the kitchen Dijon Kitchen from the Brazilian design firm Diego Revollo. It is an open kitchen with a modern and very functional style. The color of the wall in which we find the furniture and part of the household appliances refers to that yellow tone that ends up being quite interesting for a kitchen. But what is most surprising in the design of the Dijon Kitchen is undoubtedly its central island.
If at first glance it could be a typical island with a part for cooking and another that serves as a table or bar, what surprises us is the sense of fixation of said island. Indeed, if we look closely we will see that it is flying since it does not have a ground fixation. As an inverted table, the island is supported from the ceiling by means of a metal structure.
This way has allowed designers to get a true dynamics and lightness throughout the kitchen. The black metal supports or arms are finally very discreet and do not break into the general view that we have of the space. Despite being a very modern kitchen, it seemed to me a very good idea to integrate a part with a light wood covering that has the aluminum-colored refrigerator at its center.
This contrast of materials, textures and colors It offers us another interesting perspective on the kitchen as a whole. In general, the concept of the Dijon Kitchen is innovative in the way the central island has been placed, while its design and combination of styles make it an inspiring model.
