On the occasion of the special chapter for the reunion of the protagonists of the famous series “Friends”, the Hovia team has thought about how to wear Monica’s style to the interior of the home with some wallpapers very special. Basically, in Hovia they have imagined how Monica would have decorated her apartment if the famous sitcom was set in 2021.
Clean and bright, the living room would certainly have a modern and cozy, recognizable thanks to the characteristic violet color of the walls, a detail that Monica sure would not have given up. To get this look, Hovia proposes a wallpaper with a moldings effect that has very bold purple tones, a model called “Monica” in tribute to the protagonist of the series.
Hovia stylist Antoni Ferguson explains how Monica could refresh the look from his New York apartment to take him from the 90s to the 20s: to do this in the living room glass table replaced by modern gold alternative and the bold color of the velvet furniture reflects Monica’s playful decorative taste, as well as the iconic purple walls, which are preserved.
To recreate the urban New York style of Monica’s kitchen, Hovia proposes the wallpaper ‘Lambeth’, an ultra-realistic brick effect design. In this case, they have recreated the kitchen area using furniture in the same blue tone and proposing a wallpaper with a fair-faced brick effect. The result is a look fresh and contemporary that mixes Nordic style with a touch reminiscent of New York lofts, perfect for the modern home and for all those nostalgic for Friends.
