Is called Alphabet Building and it is the new architectural project designed by the Dutch MVRDV and intended to be built by 2012 in the Minervahaven district of Amsterdam. It is a curious one building which owes its particularity to the main facade where the letters of the alphabet are imprinted while on the eastern side of the structure a huge “52” will be visible, indicating the house number of the building.
Born from a project by the Dutch MVRDV, Alphabet Building is a structure designed to accommodate offices of several small and medium-sized communication agencies. A sort of real incubator of ideas and creativity that will be characterized by a facade on which the letters of the alphabet will be imprinted.
Corresponding to each letter on the facade there is a flexible space of 128 square meters that can be purchased or rented individually or within a “string of letters”.
It is useless to try to grab the letters Q and I, they are not there! As the authors of the project ironically explain, “the IQ of creatives will be kept inside the offices”.
