The countdown to the next ones begins Olympic Games which will take place in 2012 in London and today we want to introduce you Aquatic Center, the new architectural project conceived and created by the famous world-famous designer Zaha Hadid. It is a real aquatic center designed to host the different pools that will host some of the Olympic competitions. The result is a structure inspired by the fluid geometry of moving water in perfect harmony with the river landscape of the Olympic Park.
Among the many successful projects signed by Zaha Hadid certainly could not miss one designed for the London 2012 Olympic Games, the aquatic center Aquatic Center.
It is a architectural concept which is inspired by the fluid geometry of moving water and presents itself as a structure characterized by an undulating roof that encloses the pools of the Center from those for swimming to those dedicated to diving.
The roof, built through a structure of parabolic arches, is the main element around which the very concept of this architecture revolves: its particular wavy shape differentiates an internal visual separation of the room between the pool volume and the pool volume for the dips. Additionally the roof design extends to the outer areas of the falls and the entrance to the bridge.
The architectural structure was conceived not only for the Olympics but also in anticipation of its future use: on the occasion of the Games they will be prepared for the aquatic center temporary seats and caps to be able to accommodate 15 thousand visitors for swimming competitions and 5 thousand for diving competitions which will then be removed to make way for 2500 places for the London competitions.
