We recommend buying some white-shelled eggs, but if you can’t find them, the more common ones will do just fine. The foods to buy are:
- red cabbage
- red onions
- spinach
- beets
- blueberries
- black grapes.
The procedure that we are going to explain to you it will always be the same, but depending on the ingredient you choose the final color will be different.
The first thing to do is extract color in a natural way or by boiling vegetables and / or fruit. That way, your organic dye will still be edible too. Once cooked, let the resulting liquid cool for about 30 minutes and add 2 tablespoons of vinegar, which will serve to fix the pigments.
At this point, put the liquid on the fire again and dip the eggs into it. Bring to a boil and cook them for 7 minutes.

At this point your colored hard-boiled eggs will be ready! To avoid dirtying the hob, let them cool on absorbent paper sheets. If you are not convinced of the color, you can leave them to soak even a whole night. This will not affect its edibility, but it may slightly alter its flavor.
Even the grounds of coffee and tea leaves they are valid allies for painting eggs, about 2 teaspoons dissolved in a glass of water will suffice.

If you want to be as precise as possible, you can also glue your models, anyway you won’t be able to eat the eggs because of the alcohol present in the markers that will penetrate through the thin shell. The other way around, if you use candy markers, the eggs will remain edible.

In this case you start by pouring water into a container; take into account that this could be stained and you could consider throwing it away. Add a few drops of color, if you choose to use more than one, always proceed one by one. When you are satisfied with the chromatic composition you can also modify it a little with the help of a wooden stick or a skewer.
At this point, submerge slowly the egg into the water, but with decision. It needs to be fully submerged for even coloring, but remember to be quick or the colors will overlap.
You will need a drying time from 15 to 30 minutes and the best thing would be to keep the egg vertically.
