Laufen toilet firm brings us its latest collection of compact sinks in different shapes and even cut-outs, as a solution to the increasingly common lack of space in the bathroom.
Despite the fact that the bathroom has become one of the most important rooms in the house, which we ask not only to be functional but to convey good feelings, the bathroom is usually a very large room. adjusted especially in Spain, where almost 30% of the population lives in dwellings between 75 and 90m² with houses of one and two bathrooms of reduced size.
The design of these new washbasins from the Val de Laufen collection is designed to optimize space as they allow install sinks with smaller sinks using the same internal dimensions as other larger stacks. For example, the new Val washbasin has a dimension of only 340 x 220 mm, including a small shelf for the faucet, but it also offers a deceptively generous size basin or sink.
New ceramic material that is finer in its composition
Its adaptability is partly explained by its material. These Val sinks are made with an extra-fine ceramic material and very resistant developed by Laufen and that German designer Konstantin Grcic It has transformed in a new and innovative way.
With its thin walls and a small radius of curvature, the sinks designed with this innovative ceramic material take up very little space and make all bathrooms, especially small ones, appear cleaner and clearer.
Sink with integrated shelves or to adapt to corners and door opening
The new sinks use the additional space created in the pial to integrate new functions in the form of textured semi-dry shelves. This gives users extra storage space to place soap, shaving brushes or cosmetics by hand without sacrificing the volume of the battery.
The range includes a 600 x 315 mm sink, a 1200 x 480 mm double sink Y a 550 mm wide asymmetric washbasin with a round breast and a sloping forehead that can be useful in very narrow rooms, for example, if a door needs room to turn. Another smart solution is the towel rail adapted to the shape of the washbasin. also available in this collection and that is simply fixed to the wall using the anchor screw of the basin.
First sink that can be trimmed
In challenging designs it also helps whether the sink fits exactly into a hole in a wall or it can be sized to fit in a limited space between a wall and a piece of furniture.
The new additions to the collection provide a solution for applications of this type, since it involves of the first washbasin in fine ceramic material that can be cut to fit the space to the millimeter.
With this in mind, Laufen has designed a circular washbasin with an integrated ceramic shelf on the left or right, in which the tap is also installed and that can be cut to different sizes, customized according to needs. After the cut is made, the surface is resealed with ceramic material so that the cut itself is not visible.
As an added detail, it also includes a toilet paper dispenser made of lightweight ceramic material, adapted in shape and size for the
shelf, the perfect combination.
