It is time to bet who will win the prestigious English Oscar for creativity this year, the Brit Insurance Design Award of the Year 2010. The one hundred selected projects are exhibited from February 17th to June 6th at London Design Museum so those who will pass through the English capital these days should not miss this visit.
The jury to which the designer belongs among others Tom Dixon will elect the winner for each of the seven categories involved on March 4th: architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, interactivity, products and transport.
The names of the finalists are truly remarkable, the archistar Zaha Hadid will participate in the architecture category with the project for the Maxxi, the National Museum of 21st Century Arts which will open in Rome in May. For fashion, the spring / summer 2010 collection of the recently deceased designer Alexander McQueen will participate, for the section dedicated to interactivity the Amazon Kindle DX, for the products the Hope chandelier by Francisco Gomez Paz for Luceplan.
