This kitchen that now exudes Nordic style was, until a few days ago, an example of 90s design where various colors and geometries were mixed. A “look” that has not aged well and that, above all, does not convey the calm and order that a kitchen or home workplace requires.
Despite the spectacular nature of the change, this is also the work of Ana Lorenzana from @decoryver, the decoration firm specialized in renovations without works that shows once again to what extent they can transform spaces by recovering elements and without annoying works or debris.
Because in addition to the obvious advantage of not generating debris, reusing and extending the useful life of furniture and appliances is also a sustainable gesture.
The kitchen Before
The great advantage that this kitchen already had was a very good layout. Its “L” floor plan made it possible to have an area in which to place a very pleasant office placed in the longest part of the work area.
The design instead looked old and there were many colors and finishes; two-tone furniture, the floor in as many, the gray granite countertop etc …
The Kitchen Now
The change has therefore respected the initial distribution but the strident colors have disappeared thanks to the furniture paint and the vinyls that cover the walls and ceilings.
In the case of floor, a vinyl floor with an oak wood finish (very Nordic) has been placed on the previous one that unifies the tone of the kitchen and makes the floor appear larger and more orderly. The kitchen cabinets have been painted white with furniture paint (such as chalk paint). Furniture also owes its transformation to its new black handles and straight finishes.
Matching the handles, another element that makes this kitchen very current is its new black taps.
On the dashboard, a vinyl cladding stands out, in this case by LokoLoko, which imitates a hydraulic tile in a light gray tone while the rest of the walls, which included a border, have been painted white.
To finish giving the Nordic style, characterized by light furniture and the use of wood, the countertop has been replaced by a wooden laminate and the former “very kitchen” office furniture has been replaced by warmer and more pleasant ones.
As always in Ana Lorenzana’s reforms, it is worth looking at the details such as the new clock that shines on one of its walls that replaces the previous one, the back of the door also painted white or the new screen blinds that let in the light and accompany the Nordic design of the kitchen.
Now this kitchen and its pleasant office are a space in which you want to be and work and that has once again excited its lucky owners.
